Five Generations of Master Bakers

Dunn's of Crouch End is owned by Christopher Freeman and his wife Christina. Christopher is a fifth generation baker. His great-great-Grandfather Robert Freeman came down from Brackley, Northamptonshire in 1820 on a
Hay Wagon and started work as a baker in South Grove, Highgate. He started the first Freeman family business
on Highgate Hill in 1827. Christopher and Christina Freeman live in Crouch End are pleased to be part of the local community and to be able to support many initiatives.

Dunn's Bakery is proud that all our wedding cakes and birthday cakes are made from the finest ingredients and are baked and decorated on the premises. The recipe for the rich dark fruit wedding cake is a family secret. If you prefer you can have your wedding cake in sponge, chocolate sponge or even fresh cream. We can accommodate most variations of wedding cakes.

Your wedding cake will be covered in the in the finest almond marzipan and finished in traditional Royal Icing or new style Sugar Craft Icing by our highly skilled craftsman whose considerable talents are devoted entirely to the decoration of your wedding cake. Colours and trims can be chosen to complement your wedding day.

There is a display of 16 wedding cakes here at Dunn's and we would encourage you to visit us in Crouch End where expert staff will be able to give you advice. Orders may be placed using our online odering form or by phone, post, fax or in person here at Dunn's.
