Dunn's Bakery is proud that all our cakes are made from the finest ingredients and are baked and decorated on the premises. The recipe for the rich dark fruit cake is a family secret. If you prefer you can have your cake in sponge, chocolate sponge or even fresh cream. We can accommodate most variations.
Decorations and Designs
A celebration cake can be a fantastic addition to the ceremony and party.
We can personalise your christening cake however you like. We make beautifully hand-decorated cakes that are topped with unique decorations. Many popular decorations include booties, animals, babies, flowers and other religious or baby iconography. We are also able to decorate your cake with personalised messages.
Flavours and Styles
Some of the most popular cakes are decorated in white with baby blue trims for christening cakes for boys or pastel pink for christening cakes for girls. Additionally, book shapes are very popular but square, round and tiered ones can also be created. In recent years, contemporary cakes such as cup cakes or mini cakes have also become popular.
Traditional cakes are made with fruitcake but vanilla and chocolate sponge are becoming increasingly popular. With a tiered cake, it is possible to have different types of cake for each tier.
We also create delicious religious ceremony cakes (including wedding cakes and anniversary cakes), birthday cakes and photo cakes.
